Fire Cleaning and Reconstruction

Fire Damage

There is, unfortunately, more to fire damage than materials burning and walls crumbling, which is bad enough.
  • The acidic nature of soot and smoke can further deteriorate and corrode what is left behind.
  • Ashes will discolor plastic materials within minutes and fiberglass and appliances finishes within hours and eventually clothing and upholstery.
  • Water and dry chemicals used to extinguish the fire will have further damaged building components and content.
  • The odor from toxic smoke will impregnate walls, carpets and fabrics.

Emergency And Safety Measures

Once firefighters have done their work, take every precaution and call us promptly.

  • Do not enter the property.
  • If you have to, wear gloves and respiratory protection.
  • Do not remove belongings (they need to be inventoried and can be accessory to an investigation).
  • Do not try and clean the premises yourself.

Remember that structural damage can cause injury and that the room or building is unsafe. Only certified fire damage restoration professionals should access the site.
